A ceremonial handing over of another TUKAN 2000 took place at end of June, this time in the port of Kaliningrad (Russia). The port invested almost 17 years after the last delivery of a double-jib crane from Eberswalde in a modern crane with more outreach, significantly more load capacity, more lifting height and thus secured further technological advantages in handling the containers and slabs (up to 63t) with increasing handling volume. The new crane can carry loads of 50t on hooks at 40m reach. The max. load capacity is 95t at 23m. Steel construction and all main drives were classified very high according to the planned envelope in the next few years.
